Our Rector's Election Message

Today our nation is a swirl of emotions. Many of us, including your clergy, are shocked, dismayed, and grieving. Amidst this turmoil I bid your prayers for this country. Let us come together as a community to find strength, courage, and comfort. May we turn to God knowing that God will bind up the brokenhearted.
But we must also remember the Church’s task to stand with the vulnerable. We stand with the millions living in fear after this election - the poor, immigrants, women, people of color, people of different faiths, LGBT people, people with disabilities, the underinsured and all those who are marginalized. As our baptismal covenant requires of us, let us “seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves, and strive for justice and peace; and respect the dignity of every human being.”
I invite us all to gather this Sunday in worship, fellowship, and prayer, with our eyes turned toward the hope of God’s vision for the world. Until then, I am holding you all in prayer and trust that you will hold each other as well.
Yours in Christ,
Nate
