Class: The Spirituality of Hymns, Suns. June 18 & 25

Singing has been central to worship from ancient Judaism through today, but how many of us have taken a close look at the spirituality expressed in the hymns we sing each week?
Join us for a two-part series on the theology and history of hymnody and its role in worship. The Episcopal Church's 1982 Hymnal will be our primary text, with attention also paid to the church's two supplementary hymnals, Lift Every Voice and Sing and Wonder Love and Praise.
We will meet between services on Sundays June 18 & 25, at 9:15-10:05am, upstairs in the Sts Francis & Clare room.
